Leeds United signed seven new players to improve a squad that finished 14th in the Premier League table last season and comfortably avoided relegation.
Daniel Farke admitted this week that he would have preferred to sign a couple more forwards this summer, especially following the loan departures of Joel Piroe and Wilfried Gnonto.
However, the 49ers backed the manager to upgrade the team’s goalkeeping and defensive options while adding quality attackers such as Harry Wilson and Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
But the Leeds ownership is yet to sort out a major issue, and it could come back to haunt them later if they do not prioritise it as soon as possible.

49ers must prioritise this next at Leeds United
Daniel Farke had his doubters at the start of last season, and the 49ers did consider replacing him after he led Leeds to promotion from the Championship.
His previous record in the Premier League with Norwich City was a major red herring, and many observers felt Leeds should have upgraded on the German.
However, the 49ers backed him following a tough start to the season, and Farke repaid their faith in him by comfortably securing Premier League survival.
There was talk of the 49ers discussing a fresh three-year project with Farke for Leeds, and the manager was expected to sign a new extended contract.
However, Farke has entered the final 12 months of his contract, and there is no news of the ownership tying him down to a new deal yet.
The Leeds boss joked that after several players signed new deals, the club do not have funds left to extend his deal.
But this is one priority the 49ers must sort out as Farke’s reputation is growing both in the Premier League and around European football.

The Leeds manager is in demand
Farke’s work to keep Leeds in the Premier League last season has turned heads in the English top flight and in European football.
There are several clubs in and around Leeds in the table who have spent far more than the Whites but have failed to match their performances.
The Whites have again made a solid start to the new season, and are not one of the clubs who are expected to be battling relegation at the end of the season.
However, Farke is in the last year of his contract, and there is a real chance that some club in the bottom half of the table could push to snare him away from Elland Road.
There are clubs around Leeds in the table who have bigger budgets and would be willing to back a manager of Farke’s quality in the subsequent transfer windows.
The longer Leeds leave it to reach an agreement with the German, the greater the risk of him eventually leaving Elland Road for another Premier League club.
Farke has brought in stability and continuity at Leeds that so many of their rivals do not have. The 49ers cannot afford to lose him any time soon.
