Leeds United fans were frustrated with how the club wrapped up the last summer transfer window. After a lot of expectations, the signings looked to be underwhelming.
Many had taken their stance before any of the players had kicked a ball, complaining about the lack of marquee signings.
However, as the season went on it became clearer that the 49ers got most of the recruitment spot on. The team added solid starters in Gabriel Gudmundsson, Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
James Justin and Lukas Nmecha were also solid options as squad players.
Overall, the team had a very good window, which ended up helping their push to survive the Premier League.
Leeds United star linked with European move
Sebastiaan Bornauw was one of those signings that seemed to be very confusing from the start. He spent the early months of the season on the bench and barely played.
But when called upon, he showed his ability and the fans appreciated it. However, a lack of consistent minutes has seen some noise around his future at the club.
And according to BILD this week, Bundesliga side Koln are keen on signing the center back.
The report says that the German club are prioritizing signing a defender who is ‘good in the air and on the ball’, with Bornauw near the top of the list.
The club is reportedly keen on going all out to secure targets after avoiding relegation this past season.

Daniel Farke has to take some blame in this
From the start of the season, Sebastiaan Bornauw has been given the short end of the stick. He did not arrive early in pre-season, and thus did not get the chance to start the campaign.
When he and Jaka Bijol spent the early months of the campaign on the bench, many fans were baffled about the decision.
As the season went on, it was Bijol that was called upon – which seemed to be a masterstroke from Daniel Farke.
Bornauw had to bide his time, and only got a chance in the first team towards the end of last year. And when he played, he showed that he was a solid signing and barely put a foot wrong.
But when the first choice options became available again, he was moved back to the bench. Maybe the best option for him is to find a move, and Farke must take some blame for it.
