Leeds United take on Newcastle on Monday night with just over a week until the next international break. News has emerged over Daniel Farke’s future in the coming days.
The Leeds boss will be no doubt focused on bouncing back from the 6-3 defeat to Chelsea in the League Cup.
Losing at Stamford Bridge disrupted the flow the team had at the start of the season, and also ended the unbeaten run. But the Whites are still without a defeat in the Premier League.
Up next for them is a home game against Matthias Jassle and Newcastle at Elland Road.
Leeds’ last game at their home ground saw them hold an impressive Brentford side to a 1-1 draw; Keith Andrews’ side had scored nine goals and were on a great start to the season.
Update emerges over Daniel Farke’s Leeds United contract

The transfer window closed over two weeks ago, and Daniel Farke’s future is yet to be confirmed.
The Leeds United boss has dodged the question from media multiple times in his last few press conferences. However, there have been reports that talks have been ongoing.
Before the Brighton game, he made mention that he would talk about his future soon.
TEAMtalk are reporting that that an announcement on Farke’s new contract is ‘closer than ever’.
Since the end of last season, the German has been coy on his future. But club sources have indicated that things are very close to being confirmed; managing director Robbie Evans touched on this in his Q&A last week.
“As far as the contract discussions themselves, I’ve had really good chats with himself and his team for the past three months,” Evans added. “They are all on the same page.”

Farke is the only man for the job
Losing Marcelo Bielsa a few years ago was not a great moment for Leeds fans.
But since Farke took over, things are looking up for the team once again. He has built the team and the feeling is back at Elland Road once again.
Guiding the club through two gruelling promotion campaigns before reaching the top flight is not easy to do. However, the Leeds boss has thrived despite all the obstacles.
Not many coaches around the league can do what Farke is doing; so a new contract is totally deserved for the work he has put in at Elland Road.
