Leeds United made an excellent start to the new season with a 1-0 win away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but there is still plenty of work to do in the transfer market.
With just a week left before the window closes, the Whites are racing against the clock to address several key areas ahead of the September 1 deadline.
Leeds are yet to bring in a back-up goalkeeper, with Lucas Perri still looking to leave the club before the window closes. They also need cover at left-back, particularly with Gabriel Gudmundsson’s fitness situation still a concern.
A new striker remains another priority, while Daniel Farke is also keen to add a left-sided forward to give his attack another dimension.

Leeds United transfer saga takes a fresh turn
The Whites are very interested in securing a loan deal to sign Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk before the end of the summer transfer window.
However, Chelsea have turned down two loan offers from Leeds and are no longer considering them as a viable candidates in the race for the Ukrainian.
But Leeds have not given up on signing the winger, and hope to revive the talks before the end of the transfer window on September 1.
Chelsea have laid down terms of a deal for Mudryk’s loan, which includes guaranteeing minutes to the winger when he joins any club this summer.
However, according to The Athletic, Leeds are confident they have convinced the player as they feel Mudryk is very keen to move to Elland Road before the end of the window.
Chelsea would prefer to loan him out to sister club Strasbourg in France, but Mudryk wants to stay in the Premier League, and his preference is Leeds.
It remains to be seen whether the Whites can come up with an offer that convinces Chelsea to let the winger join Leeds before the window closes next Tuesday.
Leeds could be the ideal destination for Mudryk
The Chelsea winger has been out of action for more than 20 months after arriving from Ukraine as a highly rated young prospect.
Mykhailo Mudryk’s time in London has not gone according to plan, but he is still young enough to turn things around and rebuild his career.
A loan move to Elland Road could give him the fresh start he needs. Leeds have already seen the benefits of that approach, bringing in Manor Solomon on a season-long loan during their promotion campaign.
Solomon arrived after struggling for regular football at Tottenham and dealing with a serious injury. His spell at Leeds turned out to be a huge success, with the winger becoming an important part of the team and scoring the winner on the final day of the season.
If Mudryk does make the move to Leeds, he could take plenty of inspiration from Solomon’s experience and use Elland Road as a platform to get his career back on track.
I think he is more keen to join then many Leeds fans are. No thanks. I don’t want the baggage he comes with. I assume the Leao deal is dead in the water then just like every link we get with a quality forward or attacker.
