Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has reacted to his team dropping points against Leeds United in a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.
Leeds dominated the first half away from home, and could have scored more goals after Jayden Bogle gave them the lead. However, those squandered chances came back to haunt them after the break.
Brighton had the momentum in the first half, and while the referee has been questioned for missing a foul on James Trafford in the build-up to Lukas Vuskovic’s equaliser, the goal was coming.
Attacking midfielder Pascal Gross missed a sitter from yards out that could have won Brighton the game, and the home side had to settle for a draw.

Fabian Hurzeler reacts to the 1-1 draw against Leeds United
The Brighton boss has conceded that his team lacked consistency and intensity in the first half, and Leeds were winning all the duels and second balls.
He stressed that his team were better in the second half and created enough chances to walk away with all three points at the end.
Hurzeler insisted that his team could have had a better start to the season and despite failing to win, there were positives to take from the 1-1 draw.
He said on MOTD: “Today we had a lack of energy, a lack of intensity, but we showed another face in the second half and could have won the game.
“It has cost us energy to chase the game. We need to be at the highest level from the start and need to find solutions for that.
“Every second phase, every second ball landed for a Leeds player. That’s what we changed in the second half, and we were a better team. We don’t need long to change a game. We had plenty of chances, but it’s all about fighting for the clean sheet and being better.
“Our start to the season can be better, can be worse. There were positives today but also things to improve.”

Leeds should be happy with the point
Daniel Farke conceded that his team missed too many chances that could have put the game to bed before Brighton scored their equaliser.
However, Leeds scored away at Brighton for the first time in more than a decade, and the Amex is a tough place to come for any visiting team.
Leeds should be happy that they are leaving the south coast still unbeaten and five points in the bag from their opening three league games.
