Leeds United left the Amex Stadium with a point under their belt after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against a very good Brighton side.
The away side took the lead in the first half through a Jayden Bogle goal, and could have scored more before the break had they been more clinical in front of goal.
Brighton fought back well in the second half, and Lukas Vuskovic’s header equalised the scores with plenty of time for either side to find the back of the net again.
Both teams missed chances to win all three points, but Brighton star Pascal Gross’ miss just yards out was the glaring one, which could have won the home side the game.

Paul Merson left shocked by Brighton vs Leeds incident
Following a penalty box melee towards the end of the game, the ball fell kindly at Pascal Gross’ feet, and everyone expected him to score the winner for Brighton.
However, the attacking midfielder somehow found a way to hit the ball over the bar, and James Trafford didn’t have to make a save.
The German and his Brighton teammates looked stunned after the ball went over the bar as the home side squandered a chance to win the game at the Amex Stadium.
Merson reacted on Soccer Saturday and said: “It’s unbelievable.
“Three or four yards out and he’s put it well over the bar. Do that 100 times, and he’ll score it 99 times.”
Seconds later, Lukas Nmecha had a chance at the other end, and he even failed to convert it, which would have won Leeds a second away league win in as many games this season.

Can Leeds finish top half this season?
Daniel Farke conceded that it was a good point at the end, as teams would normally lose after squandering so many chances in a game away from home.
However, the Leeds boss can take plenty of encouragement from the first three league games as the team remains unbeaten and looks as resilient as ever.
Leeds have lost just six times in their last 34 games in competitions and are one of the most resilient and hard-to-beat teams in Europe’s top five leagues.
The Whites legitimately look like a side who can break into the Premier League’s top ten this season if they remain as tough for the rest of the season.
