After beating West Ham in the FA Cup this past weekend, Leeds United have set up a semi-final with Chelsea. The tie is set to take place later this month.

The Whites almost threw away their place at Wembley when they let in two goals in three minutes after being 2-0 up after 75 minutes. The game went to extra time, where the Hammers had the ball in the net, but the goal was ruled out. Leeds eventually won the penalty shootout with Lucas Perri pulling some heroics to seal the result. This is the first time under Daniel Farke that the club have reached the last four of a major domestic cup competition.

Chelsea aim subtle jabs at Leeds United after FA Cup announcement

Chelsea on the other hand, had a much easier path to the semi-final; they played Port Vale. And within the first 45 minutes of the game, they had put three goals past the League One side. The Blues ended up winning the game by seven goals, with the away side failing to score a consolation goal.

The FA Cup raw was held and Chelsea were paired with Leeds in the semi-final. After the results of the draw, the Blues’ website provided details of their semi-final opponent later this month. The write up on the website included how many FA Cup trophies the Blues have won, and mentioned the cup final win over the Whites in the 70s. A subtle jab was aimed at Leeds, as the article pointed out that this is the first time the Whites have made the semi-final since 1987. Worst of all, the article failed to mention the fact that Daniel Farke’s side are unbeaten against Chelsea this season, and have taken four points off them.

Leeds can do the impossible at Wembley

Chelsea are not unbeatable, Leeds have already scored a victory over them at Elland Road. And the last meeting between both sides ended in a draw as the Whites came back from two goals down to rescue a point at Stamford Bridge. After the FA Cup draw, many pundits and personalities completely ruled out any chance of Farke’s men getting a result against the Blues. But there is a huge possibility Leeds can win the game; they have already survived two penalty shootouts, and have a good record against Chelsea this season. For anyone to rule the Whites out at Wembley, is a ridiculous assertion.

Chelski, the rule breakers that they are, right now they should be in the bottom 3, along with Citeh, as a result of their recent financial irregularities – always CHEATERS and were a TRUE TIN POT CLUB until the Russian gangster pumped his illegal money into them

I’d be more concerned about our Wembley hoodoo, than Chelsea.
