Leeds United fans must be bouncing this weekend following their side’s 3-1 win over Wolves on Saturday, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach, and Noah Okafor getting on the scoresheet. The Whites answered some of the questions about their perceived lack of creativity as they won three points in a controlled fashion while looking threatening in the final third for the first time this season.
Daniel Farke and his Leeds recruitment team should be happy as three of their most important signings in the summer scored their first goals for the club against Wolves at Molineux.
Calvert-Lewin shut some of his critics up wth a brilliant number 9 performance, which was topped up by a wonderful header in the first half. Okafor demonstrated why Leeds spent £18m on him in the summer despite his recent injury issues.
Stach has been the creative hub of the team this season, but his free-kick against Wolves will be talked about for some time. He also achieved something on Saturday that no Leeds player has done in more than two decades.
Can you name these 10 former Leeds United goalkeepers?
Anton Stach creates history for Leeds at Wolves

Stach’s free-kick goal in the first half was a brilliant moment as Leeds took the lead at Molineux from a piece of real individual brilliance on the pitch.
The German has been one of the best signings for Leeds this season, and in every game, he is showing why the Whites pulled off a coup by convincing him to move to Elland Road.
His goal at Molineux was also the first time a Leeds player had scored a goal from a direct free-kick in the Premier League away from home for the first time in 22 years.
Statistician Jonny Cooper revealed that Stach’s free-kick was the first scored by a Leeds player since Ian Harte netted a goal in a famous 3-2 win over Arsenal at Highbury in 2003.

Stach also became the first Leeds player since Kalvin Phillips in the 2020/21 season whose first Premier League goal was from a direct free kick.
