All the talk heading into this summer is the arrival of new signings at Leeds United. Everyone at the club is anticipating the 49ers to splash the cash just like last summer.

The ownership brought in quality starters in the last few windows. Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol and Dominic Calvert-Lewin played a huge part in the team’s survival this season.

Daniel Farke’s future is set to be decided, and the Leeds boss has already laid down a challenge to the 49ers. He urged the club to strengthen to avoid a repeat of what happened under Marcelo Bielsa.

So this summer is going to be an important one for the team. The outgoings in the transfer market could be as important as the arrivals.

Leeds will have to deal with the future of Mateo Joseph, Largie Ramazani and Isaac Schmidt among others.

Leeds United could be handed boost after Hull City triumph

Ahead of the end of the Premier League season, Hull City have clinched promotion to the top flight. A late winner from Oli McBurnie gave the tigers the win over Middlesbrough.

Joe Gelhardt, who is on loan from Leeds, played 63 minutes in the final but did not score.

However, the forward has been one of the best players at Hull City this season, scoring 15 goals and five assists. And now that the tigers have been promoted, everything is pointing to a permanent deal.

Tigers are open to move

Weeks before the playoff final, Hull Sporting Director Jared Dublin admitted that the club want to keep the 24-year old. Now, the club have a huge payout for being promoted and can afford the forward.

“Now we know where Leeds are so we have to see where we are but Joff has been fantastic since day one and we’d love to keep him, irrespective of what division we’re in. I’ve been in touch with Reegs and his representatives. Everyone knows we’ve got a job to do at Wembley and we’ll pick up the conversation after that.”

With the season he has had, Gelhardt will be one of the most valuable players in the Championship. So the asking price for him could increase, which means Leeds could make a huge profit from a potential deal.

The story of Joe Gelhardt could end on a positive note after he was frozen out of the team and decided to leave on loan.

More inaccuracy from Leeds Press as Joe Gelhardt was brought on AFTER 63 minutes. The rest of the article is pure speculation and conjecture.
