Coming back up into the Premier League has done wonders for Leeds United this past season. From the television rights and broadcasting deals, to new players in the team, things have been great.

This has even pushed the Elland Road project, which hopes to expand the stadium to get more fans in seats.

The 49ers plan to make the club more financially stable going forward, and matchday revenue is set to be a big part of it. This indirectly means the club will have to keep performing to stay in the top flight.

This past summer window saw Leeds sign 10 new players into the first team.

The Whites managed to sign players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Anton Stach and Jaka Bijol. These players would not have been easy to convince considering where they played.

Stach was wanted across Europe, Gudmundsson had Champions League experience and Okafor played for AC Milan.

And with Leeds securing another season in the top flight, fans are expecting more quality players to come in.

Leeds United handed huge boost over transfer target

Leeds United agreed a deal to sign Harry Wilson last week, and per reports they won the race over tough competition.

Wilson had options, but ultimately chose to join the West Yorkshire club.

The Whites have been monitoring Japan keeper Zion Suzuki over the last few months, with links having been resurfaced since the start of the 2026 World Cup. The keeper has impressed in his three games so far.

Per reports, his club Parma want a fee just over £20 million to part ways this summer.

Tuttosport are reporting that Suzuki turned down a move to Manchester United in recent months. However, if a team in England is able to guarantee him being a starter, it would be difficult for him to turn down.

Door is open for the 49ers this summer

Everything is set for the Whites to complete a summer swoop for the young goalkeeper.

His club is open to selling him, and a price tag has been stated. All there is now is for Leeds to move to sign him going forward.

The goalkeeping situation at Elland Road has been unclear since the season ended. Karl Darlow is yet to agree to a new contract, with just days left to his current deal expiring.

And with rumours that Lucas Perri could be available this summer, signing a new goalkeeper in Zion Suzuki would be a sensible option.
