Harry Gray started this past season with the first team at Leeds United. It raised expectations from the fans that the youngster would make his way into the starting lineup.
But the first half of the season saw Gray mainly train with the first team while making some matchday squads under Daniel Farke.
In January, the young striker went out on loan to Rotherham United. It was believed that Gray was the one who pushed for the move as he eyed first team football this year.
His loan spell was not great, but at least he managed to play 20 games and finished his season with three goals and one assist.
Gray will be eager to see what the club have planned for him heading into next season.
Leeds United midfielder expected to leave this summer
Another Leeds United youngster who also left the club on loan last season was Charlie Crew. The midfielder, who was highly rated as a youngster at Thorp Arch, played 11 games at Doncaster Rovers in the first half of the season.
Daniel Farke confirmed when the midfielder returned that the deal just did not work out.
Unfortunately, the loan deal was cut short and he returned to Elland Road for the second half of the season.
Per The Athletic, Charlie Crew is expected to leave the club during the summer window. However, it has not been confirmed if it will be another loan deal or a permanent exit.

Move could raise questions about first team pathway at Elland Road
Charlie Crew not being able to get a straight path into the first team will raise some eyebrows. Since Archie Gray broke into the team, there have not been any players set to follow.
Harry Gray was a promising prospect, but had to leave and go out on loan for first team football.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in the team, there is no certainty with the first team next season.
Wales boss Craig Bellamy recently praised Jayden Lienou for his potential after seeing him in training. The young defender joined Leeds last year, but has yet to make the first team.
Daniel Farke named him in the matchday squad for the final games of the season, but he did not touch the pitch.
Leeds will most likely sign a backup for Gabriel Gudmundsson this summer, which could complicate things for Lienou getting into the first team.
