Leeds United have bolstered their defence and midfield through their six signings, with Lukas Nmecha being the sole attacking arrival so far. The Whites want to add more goals and creativity to their squad before the start of Premier League season next month.
Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornaw and Gabriel Gudmundsson have been brought in to have more options in their defence next season, and Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach have added more strength to their midfield ahead of the new campaign. Nmecha is the only attacking signing so far, but he is likely to be a squad option at Elland Road.
Leeds are also in the market for a goalkeeper as Illan Meslier is almost certain to leave the club amid interest from Leicester City. Lyon’s Lucas Perri is seen as the top goalkeeper target at Elland Road this summer.
The Whites are also working to bring in at least two strikers before the end of the window, and the club are also interested in bringing in a number 10 who could be an upgrade on Brenden Aaronson in the team next season.
Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?

Leeds United waiting for better terms on Aston Villa attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia

Emiliano Buendia has been a target for Leeds for a while as manager Daniel Farke is keen to reunite with his former Norwich City star at Elland Road.
He spent the latter half of last season at Bayer Leverkusen, but the German club decided against signing him on a permanent deal.
Aston Villa want to sell the attacking midfielder this summer, and Leeds are interested in taking him to Elland Road.
However, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed that the current terms Villa want are not agreeable to Leeds, and the Whites are waiting for the situation to change.
He also claimed that Leeds have continued to monitor Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer for the number 10 role.
“They’re interested in Buendia and Hamer for the number 10 role too. I think they’re waiting for that one to unfold”, Bailey told TBR Football.
“As it stands with Buendia, the deal Villa want is not acceptable for Leeds, but I think that one will change.”
Farke driving Leeds’ interest in Buendia
The Argentinian midfielder had a lacklustre time in Germany and has not done much in the Premier League since joining Aston Villa.
However, Farke has huge admiration for Buendia, and believes he can get the best out of him if the attacking midfielder ends up at Leeds.
The midfielder had his best spell in English football under the German manager, and the Leeds boss is keen to reunite with him at Elland Road.
However, Leeds must shy away from spending big on him and are doing the right thing by waiting for Villa to lower their financial demands.
