Pundit believes Leeds dodged a bullet with Alfred Schreuder

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan says Leeds United rejecting Alfred Schreuder was the best decision for the club.

Schreuder was spotted at Elland Road on Sunday during the Manchester United game. Reports claimed that he was set to become the new Leeds United manager, however the deal was stopped. It was revealed that owner Andrea Radrizzani was the one who pulled the plug on hiring the Dutchman.

Simon Jordan was a big fan of the call from Leeds, saying it avoided a ‘major catastrophe’ for the club:

“They can’t be this stupid to look at someone who’s completely wrong for an elite side in the Dutch league and suggest he is going to be capable of managing in the Premier League if he is indeed incapable.

“That would be a version of hanging themselves, metaphorically. There is so much pressure on this decision.”

After stopping the appointment of Schreuder, Leeds are yet to name a successor to Jesse Marsch. Interim coach Michael Skubala still remains in charge of the team till further notice.
