Regis Le Bris reveals which Leeds player will be key in the match
With Leeds facing so many injuries, their defense will be crucial and Le Bris spotlights that llan Meslier will be the puzzle his side will need to figure out to secure the win.
“We know that this [Leeds] is a strong team, sized for promotion I think”, Le Bris said (h/t Inside Futbol). “[They come] with many strengths, in position, out of position, counter attacks, well managed. [They have] a good goalkeeper [Meslier], a very good goalkeeper, I know this. So, it will be a good challenge for us.”
The French goalkeeper has been with Leeds since 2020 and has firmly established himself as their first-choice keeper. He developed through Lorient’s youth academy, spending three years under Le Bris in the club’s system.
Meslier has let in just five goals across his team’s first eight league games, but the Whites face a tough challenge on Friday night at the Stadium of Light against league leaders Sunderland.
