Getting to the transfer deadline, Leeds United are looking at a few deals on their hands. The club are doing very well on the pitch to start the new season.

They are unbeaten in their last three games, with two wins over Nottingham Forest and a draw against Brentford.

Now the club can focus on getting some deals across the line ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

So much has been developing since over the weekend at Elland Road. Leeds are still yet to complete the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt keeper Michael Zetterer, and that deal would open the door for Lucas Perri to join Torino.

Over the weekend, Fiorentina have gone from making an enquiry to sign Wilfried Gnonto to actually making an offer.

The Italian side have agreed a deal to loan the winger, and Leeds United have given Gnonto permission to fly to Italy. However, he has not been given the green light to complete a transfer.

The Whites are adamant that a deal will only be sanctioned if the club can find a replacement.

So Gnonto will be outside England in case the deal goes through. Leeds are said to be pursuing a move for Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk even after the Blues ended talks last time out.

However Daniel Farke’s side are pushing to land Mudryk on loan before the deadline.

Leeds now have a huge obstacle ahead of them; Ben Jacobs is reporting that Tottenham have agreed a deal for the winger.

The London club have moved fast to sign the Ukraine international, after making an enquiry a few hours earlier. They move on to Mudryk after missing out on Everton winger Illiman N’Diaye.

Wilfried Gnonto move becomes complicated

With Spurs finalizing the details to sign Mudryk, Leeds’ initial transfer plans are in danger.

The Whites were only going to let Wilfried Gnonto leave if they found a replacement; and Mudryk was one of their top targets. Now that they have lost him, it complicates things.

Gnonto will fly to Italy to wait for confirmation to sign a deal. If Leeds cannot find an alternative before deadline day, then they will have no choice but to bring back Gnonto.

These next 24 hours will be really important at Elland Road.
