This transfer has sparked a lot of activity at Elland Road over the weekend.
Fiorentina made an enquiry over a move, before entering talks over a transfer. As of Monday, Fabrizio Romano has reported that a deal has been agreed to send Gnonto out on loan.
But from other reports, the deal is not as straightforward as indicated.
Everything seems to be agreed for Wilfried Gnonto to join Fiorentina on loan ahead of the deadline. However, a new update has revealed more about the details concerning the transfer.

Isaac Johnson is reporting that club sources have said that Gnonto will only leave if a replacement is found.
And at this point, Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk is the option on the table. It was reported by Sky Sports that the Whites are working on a deal to sign the Ukraine international before the deadline.
Nothing has been confirmed or formalized, so it will be an interesting few hours ahead for Leeds.

Smart decision from the 49ers
The whole situation involving Wilfried Gnonto and potentially Mykhailo Mudryk is being handled the right way.
Leeds will only left Gnonto go if they can secure a replacement, with Mudryk the leading candidate ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
Allowing Gnonto to join without securing a backup would be a very horrible decision. Just like the club handled the move involving Sebastiaan Bornauw and Nico Elvedi, this is the way.
If it works, Leeds benefit but if it fails, the club would lose a player and not be able to sign a replacement until January.
Hopefully the team can get the move over the line before Tuesday.
