Leeds United are scrambling for options ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline day as Daniel Farke pushes to bring in a couple more new signings.

Fiorentina are in talks with Leeds to sign the Italian winger, and a return to Serie A is becoming a real possibility before the transfer window closes.
According to Italian journalist Lorenzo Canicchio, Gnonto is closing in on making a move to Fiorentina in the coming hours.
Talks are progressing between Leeds and the Serie A club, and the winger is taking ‘giant strides’ towards joining Fiorentina before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Gnonto, who has become a bit-part player at Leeds, is ready to return to Italy after spending years at Zurich and Leeds.
The Whites are ready to let him leave if they secure a replacement, and it seems Leeds are closing in on signing a wide forward.

Leeds still need to sign a striker, even if they bring in a wide forward
The Whites are almost certain to bring in a wide forward if they are progressing in talks to let Wilfried Gnonto join Fiorentina before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
However, it still doesn’t solve one big problem – the club still do not have a proven backup number 9 if anything happens to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The departure of Joel Piroe suggested that Leeds would sign a striker, but at the moment, there is no clarity on whether a new number 9 is in the pipeline.
Leeds would be taking a major gamble on Calvert-Lewin’s fitness if they do not bring in a striker and it could come back to haunt them later in the season.
