Leeds United had a wonderful end to their home run in the Premier League, grabbing a win against Brighton on Sunday. The Whites have remained competitive since their safety was confirmed.
Many fans and pundits thought the team would relax after they survived relegation. But Leeds have defied everyone and have continued to play according to their high standards.
Away to Spurs over a week ago, the team put in a very spirited performance against Roberto De Zerbi’s men. Tottenham were desperate for a result and took the lead in that game. But the Whites fought back to clinch a draw.
It was the same thing against Brighton on Sunday; as the visitors were the better team for a large part of 90 minutes. They could have scored more than one goal in the first half, but Karl Darlow denied them on multiple occasions.
Daniel Farke’s side managed to hold on until they got one chance late in the game, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin pouncing on a backpass to score.
Premier League announcement made ahead of Leeds United clash
Leeds United face West Ham on the final day of the season, with the Whites set to have a huge say in who stays in the Premier League. The relegation battle is now down to the Hammers and Spurs.
Both teams have difficult games on the final day of the season, and whoever wins their game could stand a chance of staying up another season.
The Premier League have announced that Anthony Taylor will be the man in charge for the final day of the season. Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn will serve as the assistants, with Steve Martin as the fourth official. John Brooks and Dan Robathan will be on VAR duty.

Whites can end the season in style
Leeds have only won two of their last seven games officiated by Anthony Taylor, but the good news is that they are unbeaten in the league when he has been in charge.
Taylor was the official in the 3-3 draw with Liverpool at Elland Road, and the 3-1 win away to Wolves in September.
Daniel Farke’s men have already given their home fans something to cheer about with the win on Sunday. Now it is time to give the travelling fans a proper send off at the end of the season.
West Ham are in poor form, having lost their last three games. The Whites are also unbeaten against Nuno’s men this season, Leeds can easily grab three points this weekend.
