Daniel Farke has made it clear that he would love Leeds United to sign a couple more players before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
Leeds are rapidly running out of time as they seek to bring in more players to fill the gaps in the squad and strengthen Farke’s hands after a strong start to the season.
They have signed five players this summer, but the Leeds boss insisted after the 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday that he feels there is a lack of depth in his squad.
Signing a striker was seen as one of the major priorities for the club earlier in the window, but with less than two days left to the deadline, the Whites are yet to sign a new number 9.

Leeds United striker target pushing to leave club
Burnley’s Zian Flemming has been on Leeds United’s radar all summer, and the club have been exploring the possibility of signing the Dutchman.
However, the club are yet to make a concrete move for him, and Lille’s attempts to sign him have proved to be complicated due to negotiations with Burnley.
The Clarets do not want to lose the forward, but according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Flemming is now actively pushing to leave Burnley before Tuesday’s deadline.
He has made it clear to the club that he wants to leave before the transfer window closes. His preference is to return to the Premier League or join a top European club.
Flemming is hopeful that Burnley will be reasonable and grant his request if they receive an acceptable offer for him before the end of the window.
With the forward now making it clear that he wants to move on from Burnley, it remains to be seen whether Leeds table a bid for him in the coming hours.

Leeds are in desperate need of a striker
The Whites do not have a proven goalscorer in their squad beyond Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the ex-Everton man’s injury history is a major concern.
Leeds loaned out Joel Piroe to West Ham this month, and Lukas Nmecha has never been a prolific goalscorer and remains nothing more than a squad option from the bench.
They need another outlet up front, and Flemming’s performances for a relegated Burnley side last season in the Premier League are a major attraction.
He scored 11 Premier League goals in 21 stars for a poor Burnley side, and showed that he can be a reliable goalscorer in the top flight.
