Leeds United are rapidly running out of time to secure more signings this summer, with the transfer window set to close in less than 12 hours.

Daniel Farke indicated over the weekend that he doesn’t believe that there is enough depth in certain areas of his squad and that he needs a couple more signings.

Leeds are expected to complete a deal to sign 26-year-old left-back Melvin Bard in the coming hours after finalising a loan-to-buy deal with French club Nice.

However, there is no certainty that Leeds will sign a new winger after Mykhailo Mudryk agreed to join Tottenham on loan, which could jeopardise another transfer deal.

Wilfried Gnonto spotted in Fiorentina colours but transfer not guaranteed yet

Wilfried Gnonto has travelled to Italy to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed loan move to Serie A outfit Fiorentina on deadline day.

Leeds agreed to let him travel to Italy, but the club have not sanctioned the move yet, as they have not secured the Italian’s replacement.

However, footage has emerged that shows Gnonto wearing Fiorentina’s training gear as he undergoes a medical with the Italian club.

The Italian looked happy and smiling as he prepares to leave Leeds. However, there is no guarantee that the transfer goes through in the coming hours.

Leeds are set to miss out on signing Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, who is set to join Tottenham on an initial loan deal in the coming hours.

The Whites want to sign a winger before allowing Gnonto to join Fiorentina and are prepared to pull the plug on the deal if a replacement is not secured.

Gnonto was captured in Fiorentina’s colours on Monday night, but there is a chance that he could return to Leeds later today if a new winger is not signed.

Leeds have left it too late

The 49ers have done a good job of recruiting five quality signings who have both improved the squad and the starting eleven for this season.

However, they were aware that certain areas of their squad needed backups, and they have left it too late to get essential business done.

A striker has not been secured yet, and it seems unlikely that Leeds will bring in a backup number 9 to help Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front.

Leeds are close to signing a left-back in the form of Nice’s Bard, but they have left it too late to sign that extra wide forward Farke has been keen to sign all summer.

With Mudryk on his way to Spurs, it seems increasingly likely that Leeds will ask Gnonto to return by the end of the day.
