Leeds United have a few big decisions to make over the course of the next few weeks, as the club need to move on a few fringe players as soon as possible.

The Whites have already sold a key player when Pascal Struijk joined Brighton and are not interested in losing any more major stars, despite interest from several clubs.

However, Leeds are still looking to push a few players out the door before the end of the transfer window, as they have no future at Elland Road under Daniel Farke.

Largie Ramazani, Joel Piroe and Wilfried Gnonto are some of the players who are expected to leave. However, Leeds are also looking to cash in on Joe Gelhardt this summer.

Joe Gelhardt still wants to rejoin Hull City

Hull City earned promotion to the Premier League last season, and Joe Gelhardt played a huge role with his performances in the frontline.

He has a year left on his contract, and Hull have been interested in signing the forward on a permanent deal in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Leeds are keen to assess the market and want the best deal possible following his solid season at Hull. They would prefer to spark an auction for his services.

However, according to the Hull Daily Mail, Gelhardt still wants to return to the MKM Stadium despite interest from other clubs this summer.

He remains committed to the idea of rejoining Hull, and is pushing to secure an Elland Road exit as soon as possible.

Hull also retain an interest in signing him this summer. However, there is still no agreement between the two clubs, and the Tigers could sign him later in the window.

Gelhardt’s wishes are clear, but the negotiations between the two clubs have not progressed, and the forward may have to wait to secure his favourite move.

His future should be sorted out soon

Joe Gelhardt has arguably enjoyed the most productive spell of his senior career since joining Hull City, and the forward has been open about his desire to make the move permanent.

The 24-year-old appears to have fallen out of Daniel Farke’s long-term plans at Leeds United after struggling to establish himself in the first team before heading out on loan.

Having become an important player at Hull, and with the Tigers now in a stronger financial position following promotion, Leeds are entitled to demand a fair fee if they decide to sanction his departure.

Even so, there are clear benefits to getting the deal wrapped up sooner rather than later. Reaching an agreement early would remove the uncertainty surrounding Gelhardt’s future and allow him to focus fully on preparing for the new Premier League campaign with Hull.
