Leeds United secured another season in the top flight, after surviving relegation this past season. Daniel Farke was able to guide his team to 14th place.

Now, preparations are underway for another campaign in the Premier League.

Next season, they will be joined by Coventry City, Hull City and Ipswich Town. With the Whites and Sunderland being able to successfully navigate this past year, there is hope for these three sides.

Ipswich’s summer got off to a rough start as Kieran McKenna stepped down over a month ago.

Leeds United rivals make shock move

Hull have also made a radical change at their club.

The Tigers have announced that they have parted ways with Sporting Director Jared Dublin. Dublin joined the club in 2024, and has been key to the signings that propelled the Championship side to Premier League promotion.

Hull Live are reporting that a disagreement over a new contract for Dublin lead to his exit.

Per the report, the Sporting Director asked for higher wages after promotion, and the club were not willing to meet his demands. His exit will put a major dent in the club’s plans for this summer.

Following their promotion, the Tigers have around £200 million to spend.

This could affect Joe Gelhardt’s deal

One of the players Hull City were keen on was Joe Gelhardt.

Dublin mentioned that the Tigers were keen on signing the Leeds United forward heading into this summer window.

“Now we know where Leeds are so we have to see where we are but Joff has been fantastic since day one and we’d love to keep him, irrespective of what division we’re in. I’ve been in touch with Reegs and his representatives. Everyone knows we’ve got a job to do at Wembley and we’ll pick up the conversation after that.”

Now that Dublin is gone, it may alter the club’s potential transfer plans.

It has been reported that wages are the latest stumbling block in Gelhardt’s potential exit from Elland Road. He is set for a pay rise, which Hull are not keen on paying to complete a move for the forward.

Leeds are open to letting Joe Gelhardt leave, especially with just a year remaining on his contract.

His performances last season in the Championship last season are said to have attracted serious suitors. He was valued around £3 to £4 million last year, but the fee could increase for this window.
