Leeds United club chairman Paraag Marathe promised the fans that they would invest on players this summer. And so far, they have delivered on their promise.

Things looked a bit concerning after Pascal Struijk made his shock exit to Brighton.

But since then, the club has signed Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic. The 49ers have addressed the team’s lack of quality in attack with the Wilson signing; the former Fulham man managed 11 goals last season.

Muharemovic comes in as a direct replacement for Struijk in the first team.

The Whites are still working on the Shea Charles deal, with Southampton reportedly holding out for their £30 million valuation. Charles reported to pre-season training with the Saints this week.

Leeds United make major acquisition from Championship side

Leeds United took another major step towards a summer signing as they held talks with Julian Brandt’s father.

The attacking midfielder is a free agent, and is said to be weighing his options ahead of a summer move. Per Graham Smyth, it looks like Leeds are now firmly in the race for him.

Another pending arrival to Elland Road, will be a technical team member.

Wales Online’s Glenn Williams has reported that Cardiff City analyst Matthew Jenkins will be making a switch to Leeds United this summer. Jenkins will bring an end to his eight-year stay with the Championship club.

He comes in to bolster Daniel Farke’s backroom staff ahead of the new season.

What has been said about Matthew Jenkins?

Jenkins has been a loyal servant at Cardiff City, and his work has impressed many around the club.

Graham Smyth and Chris O’Connor discussed him a bit in the Inside Elland Road podcast.

”Sounds like he did pretty well for himself down there. Leeds don’t tend to make a lot of noise about backroom staff. And sometimes I think that’s part of Daniel Farker’s old ethos is that he’s the front man and he will kind of speak on behalf of the footballing side.”

Leeds have had a revamped transfer and recruitment team over the last few seasons.

And it has worked out in a major way as the club can boast of successes like Anton Stach, Ao Tanaka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. It is great that the technical team is adding some experience.

The key to remaining a consistent Premier League side is to always be improving, and the Whites are clearly heading towards that.

It is certainly misleading to headline Matthew Jenkins as a MAJOR ARRIVAL so please use accurate and rational words.
