The aftermath of Leeds United thrashing Newcastle at Elland Road has been amazing to witness. After last night’s game, one of the visiting players issued an apology to fans for their woeful performance.
Leeds dominated Matthias Jaissle’s side in the first half of the game.
An own goal from Lewis Miley started the rout, and Jayden Bogle was awarded the second goal. Dominic Calvert-Lewin made it 3-0 before half time and Noah Okafor put the icing on the cake in the second half.
Newcastle had no response for the onslaught for long periods of the game, and only got a consolation late in the second half.
Leeds maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season in incredible fashion.

Newcastle stood no chance against Leeds United at Elland Road and it was obvious from kickoff.
After the game, Magpies defender Malick Thiaw apologized to the travelling fans for their support. He also admitted that Daniel Farke’s side were better on the night.
“A lot of emotions, a lot of things going through your mind,” Thiaw told the media.
“Obviously, one is disappointment. You take it personal. (I am) really, really, really, really disappointed tonight. You can just say sorry to the fans.
“How we performed, the result… it’s not what Newcastle want to be. I wouldn’t take this (the inexperience) as an excuse because I think that’s the team we have. It’s going to be this team this season so I don’t take this as an excuse.
“We still have quality. Overall, what’s more important than quality is attitude, the energy we have to bring. Leeds were just better than us today in these kind of terms.”

Elland Road will be a difficult ground to visit this season
Just like last year, Leeds’ home form will play a huge part this season. The stadium was such a fortress last year that club Chairman Paraag Marathe listed its importance in his end-of-season message to the fans.
This time around, the team is much better with the addition of some quality signings.
Holding an in-form Brentford there was one thing, and now beating a very good Newcastle team speaks a lot about how far the Whites have come.
Their home ground will continue to be a fortress and teams will be scared to visit as the season goes on. Hopefully, Farke’s side can collect a massive amount of points at Elland Road going forward.
