Leeds United are in the US on a training camp ahead of a few friendlies as they prepare for the new season. They face Wrexham in their first game on Sunday.

Daniel Farke’s men have been preparing since last week when the first team players reported for tests.

Four players were left out of the list for the trip to the US; Max Wober, Largie Ramazani, Jack Harrison and Joe Gelhardt. All of these players were out on loan last season, and are expected to leave this summer.

Wober has already left the club, joining Schalke on a free transfer this past week.

Jack Harrison has gotten interest from the MLS with reports that a move is imminent. Valencia are playing the waiting game after Ramazani’s loan spell last season.

There has been no news on Gelhardt since the interest from Hull went quiet.

Club confident of transfer deal with Leeds United soon

There are other Leeds United players expected to leave Elland Road this summer.

One of them is Lucas Perri; the Brazilian has been linked with a move away over the last few weeks. Leeds have been trying to solve the situation in the goalkeeping position.

They have made a lot of progress with James Trafford and are in talks with Manchester City.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Torino are just finalizing the details as the Whites push on the deal for Trafford.

Tuttomercato are reporting that the transfer is at an advanced stage. Torino Sporting Director Gianluca Petrachi has reached an agreement over personal terms with Lucas Perri.

The Italian outlet is also reporting that a deal has been reached with Leeds; a loan with an option to buy.

Trafford has to arrive for Perri to get the green light, something the Serie A side believe will be ‘a matter of just a few days’.

Perri’s exit raises more questions

Lucas Perri will leave to Torino as soon as James Trafford arrives at the club.

But the Brazilian’s departure raises more questions than answers. Currently, Leeds have just two first team goalkeepers under contract, with Alex Cairns the other option alongside Perri.

When he goes and Trafford signs, the club will still have two keepers.

The first team had four options last season, which was solid depth. Now the real question will be what plans the 49ers have for the goalkeeping department.

After spending a huge amount on James Trafford, figuring out how to add more keepers could be a complex situation.
