The tail end of this month may see some departures from Leeds United. The recruitment team have focused on bringing in new faces for the last few weeks.
At the start of the window, some reports suggested that a few players were to be sold this summer. But since the window opened, only one first team star has left on a transfer deal. Max Wober joined Werder Bremen on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Players like Patrick Bamford, Illan Meslier and Mateo Joseph could be on the move in the next few weeks.
Girona submitted a proposal for the Spain U21 star this week.

Werder Bremen agree deal for Leeds United star
It has been reported that another player is set to leave West Yorkshire for Germany this summer.
According to Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, Werder Bremen have reached an agreement with Leeds United for Isaac Schmidt. The deal will be a season-long loan, but there is no confirmation if there will be a purchase option.

Schmidt’s agent hinted at exit this summer

Some people at the club saw this coming. Earlier this year, Schmidt’s agent Baykal Bellusci told Swiss media that his client could leave Elland Road this summer:
“Isaac played as a left-back for a long time, and we discussed with the club that there was a larger market for the right-back position. The decision to switch Isaac to the right led to the transfer and his call-up to the national team.
“He has developed, matured as a player, and proven himself with the national team. In a World Cup year, the top priority shouldn’t be to focus on finances. Instead, it’s all about one thing: Where can I play the most games to prove myself? I’m convinced we’ll find a very good solution for him this summer.”
Leeds now need to find a replacement
It will be difficult finding a replacement for Schmidt, especially after signing Gabriel Gudmundsson. This rules out a big money signing, and will probably mean Leeds find a younger, cheaper option to fill the squad depth.
Schmidt’s transfer may change some plans behind the scenes this summer.
I am seriously not surprised that someone who got less then 90 minutes football last season and is an international would want a move. jesus christ I would have been shocked if he didn’t.
