Leeds United thought they had completed their transfer business a week before deadline day. Then a major injury forced the club into one move, and a surprise development made them seal another transfer.

So when it was confirmed that his timeline could be over two months, Leeds had to act. The club brought in Melvin Bard from OGC Nice, which was surprising as he was a left back.
It was later reported that the move was to allow James Justin to play more in the back three, with Bard coming in as cover for Gudmundsson.
The Whites basically killed two birds with one stone as they got depth at left back, and found a solution with their key centre back going down.

The other transfer deal on deadline day came after Fiorentina launched their move for Wilfried Gnonto.
Leeds United gave the greenlight for the Italian to make the switch as they scrambled to find a replacement. They completed the deal very late, but managed to land Jean-Mateo Bahoya from Frankfurt.
The deal was a loan with an option to buy, with the player seen as a like-for-like replacement for Gnonto.
BILDs report on Friday has revealed the full details of the transfer. Leeds signed the French U21 star on loan, with a conditional buy option which could see the deal reach up to £25.80 million.
The latest revelation is that the buy option will be triggered if the forward plays 10 games for Leeds this season.
Any minute counts towards the appearance, which means Bahoya just needs to make nine more appearances to seal the move.
What does this mean for Jean-Mateo Bahoya?
The forward made his first appearance off the bench last weekend, with Daniel Farke saying he was ”ready” to play.
Club managing director Robbie Evans has already mentioned that the plan is for Farke to develop the young player. And it is early in the season but it looks like Leeds will play him.
Other clubs have infamously chosen to not trigger buy options on loans by not playing their new signing.
As the season progresses, everyone will have a fair idea of the clubs plans for the highly-rated player.
