Leeds United will be looking to improve their first team this summer. The recruitment team will have to do a great job of finding players that fit the league and the team.

Last year’s summer signings had a great impact on the first team – Anton Stach, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were all starters from day one in the team.

Going into next season, it is important that the team upgrade on their current options going forward.

Daniel Farke has also made this clear, when the topic of his future popped up in the final weeks of the campaign.

Reports suggest that Leeds have yet to finalize their list of targets, but the summer window is yet to open. And based on last summer, fans will be at ease that the club know what they are doing.

Leeds United eye World Cup defender

Many at Leeds United know how the World Cup will factor when it comes to the transfer market.

Clubs with players at the tournament usually hold off on any potential deals, hoping that they perform enough to raise their valuation. So any transfer business is likely to happen next month.

The World Cup also draws eyes to very impressive players. Per TEAMtalk, South Korea defender Lee Han-Beom was outstanding in his side’s opening game against Czech Republic.

The young defender has already been attracting suitors this past season, and the World Cup could boost his stock.

Per the report, Leeds are among four other Premier League sides that have already looked into signing the 23-year old.

Pascal Struijk’s situation hangs over Elland Road

Leeds have been linked with a move for Ousmane Diomande this summer. Per reports, the Ivorian is very high on the club’s list, with Portuguese media tipping the Whites to make a huge bid.

Daniel Farke is said to be keen on improving his team, including the backline.

Targeting Diomande is also a way for the 49ers to show their ambition, with Farke making his thoughts clear in the final weeks of the season.

Pascal Struijk has entered the final 12 months of his deal, and he is a target for multiple Premier League clubs. Leeds rejected a bid for him before this season began, and he could be a target this summer too.

If he chooses not to sign a new deal, the Whites will be forced to sell him than lose him on a free transfer.
