Leeds United have reached the end of their season and now plans for the summer can commence. The Whites successfully navigated their first season back in the top flight.
Now things need to be put in place ahead of their second season. This summer is set to be a busy one, as the ownership have a lot of decisions to make concerning the first team.
Daniel Farke’s contract will be the priority, after both parties agreed to put talks on hold until after the season.
The German is not the only one who is out of contract soon; some first team starts could decide on their future going forward.
Karl Darlow is out of contract next month, and Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk are entering the final year of their deal.
Stan Collymore makes bold claim about Leeds United star
Ampadu has had a fantastic season for the club; he has been an ever-present figure in the team’s success this campaign.
At some points in the season, he was linked with a move away as some Premier League clubs are monitoring his current situation.
Stan Collymore has said on talkSPORT that he belives Aston Villa will be a perfect landing place for the Welsh international.
“[Ampadu is] fantastic.”
“If Villa are knocking around, he will be the kind of the perfect Aston Villa player profile in the PSR era.
“They can’t buy players for £60m or £70m and need to be more diligent.
“Not trying to buy your player, Leeds United, but if you are selling, we will take him from you.”

49ers need to tie down their future
Before the club do anything going into the summer, they need to tie down their key assets. The first will be Daniel Farke, who has been instrumental to the team for the past few years.
He deserves a contract extension as well as funding in the summer transfer window.
Then Leeds must do everything possible to re-sign Karl Darlow, Pascal Struijk and Ethan Ampadu. All three are core members of the first team and should be with the club next season.
Darlow cannot afford to leave as a free agent. And letting Struijk and Ampadu enter next season in the last year of their deal will only increase the bargaining power of other clubs.
