Daniel Farke already had in mind which Leeds United players he would count on this season. The club gave the green light for a handful of first team players to leave Elland Road.
This summer, Max Wober, Largie Ramazani, Jack Harrison and Isaac Schmidt all left the club.
Some players were allowed to leave to clear space in the squad, and others had to leave to get playing time.
Leeds signed seven first team players to improve upon the team that finished in 14th place last year. The club added some real quality with the likes of James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic.
The duo have gotten off to a great start this season with the club going unbeaten in five league games.

Daniel Farke made it clear that the reason Wilfried Gnonto were allowed to leave was because he could not promise them minutes.
Gnonto is out on loan at Fiorentina, and Piroe is on loan at West Ham.
BBCs Adam Pope has spoken about Gnonto’s future at Elland Road, saying that the winger is unlikely to be in Farke’s plans going forward.
”It’s hard to see where Gnonto fits into Farke’s set-up any more, especially with him going back to Italy to play for Fiorentina on loan.
”He had started to make an impact off the bench during pre-season, but in terms of the starting pecking order, Gnonto seems way down the list.
”First, Harry Wilson is the star attacking signing, then Brenden Aaronson has regularly played ahead of him and, more recently, Dan James is being adapted to a wing-back role.
”When you also consider Noah Okafor occupies the left side too, with Jean-Matteo Bahoya now on board as well, that’s a lot of players to climb over.’
”Also, if Gnonto plays regularly in Serie A, then he has a chance of reclaiming his place with Italy under Roberto Mancini, who gave Gnonto his senior international debut four years ago.”

Whites have already chosen Gnonto’s replacement
If it was not clear already, Jean-Matteo Bahoya is expected to replace Wilfried Gnonto.
The two have a lot of similarities; both arrived at Elland Road as young players with little experience at the top level. Gnonto worked out in his first few years in England, but his development stalled.
Now the Whites have Bahoya, who the board have clearly made their long-term project.
Farke has been tasked with improving him to the point where he is ready for first team football.
So the most likely scenario in the summer window will be Wilfried Gnonto getting sold with Jean-Matteo Bahoya taking his place permanently.
